October 14, 2017(1 event) Earthquake Preparedness Presentation1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Ken Kondo, emergency program manager and public information officer with the County of Los Angeles Office of Emergency Management, will discuss earthquake preparedness at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Whittier Museum, 6755 Newlin Ave. Kondo’s presentation coincides with the Whittier Museum’s latest exhibit, “Quake City ’87: The 30th Anniversary,” which runs now through January. Kondo lived in Whittier for 35 years and was here when the 5.9-magnitude Whittier Narrows Earthquake struck on Oct. 1, 1987.
