SUR Biennial Opening Reception

Opening reception will include two artist-led experiences. Free and open to the public.

In conjunction with the Getty's Pacific Standard Time LA/LA initiative, the Whittier Museum will be open an extra day, Sunday Sept. 17 from 1 to 4 pm. The Whittier Museum is always free. Come and see our SUR biennial and LA/LA exhibit, "Postura."
The exhibit will kick off at 10 a.m. with a presentation by renowned earthquake authority Dr. Dennis Mileti starting at 11 a.m. at the Whittier City School District office. Dr. Mileti will discuss “The First 7 Days after the Quake.” After the presentation, the exhibit’s grand opening will take place at the Whittier Museum.
