Description

Are you ready for this year’s tea fundraiser at the Whittier Museum? You better be because you are in for a “wicked” good time with some “wonderful” ideas in the works.

That’s right! This years tea is inspired by all things Wizard of Oz!

All things Oz include: the original novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its thirteen sequels; the 1939 MGM film with Judy Garland and Margaret Hamilton; Walt Disney Pictures unofficial sequel Return to Oz; Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire and the musical adaption Wicked by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman.

“The Wizard Will See You Now” tea fundraiser will include all your favorite elements: the yellow brick road, ruby slippers, the Emerald City, good witches and bad witches, and perhaps some exciting guest appearances! Maybe lions and tigers and bears; oh my!

Everyone planning to attend is encouraged to dress in their best Ozian attire; be it Emerald City green, yellow brick, wicked black, Glinda pink, silver or red ruby, or something even more clever. There will be prizes awarded to those with the best attire, so get designing now!
