The Whittier Museum proudly presents our popular tea fundraiser on Saturday, April 12, 2025.  This year we celebrate everything Oz - "The Wizard Will See You Now".  Doors open at 11:30 and "High Tea" will be served at noon. See the tea event page to reserve your seat.

Magical Evening with David

The Whittier Historical Society's President, David Williamson, is participating in this year's "Dancing with the Whittier Stars".  David is raising funds for the event by sponsoring "A Magical Evening with David" at the Whittier Museum on April 19.  Enjoy a professional magic show and a pasta dinner from California Grill while supporting David, the Whittier Historical Society, and the Whittier Foundation.  Tickets are available on the shop page of our website.

Museum Morning with McGonagle

This is a paint and sip event with well-known Whittier artist, Dennis McGonagle.  You will be painting a Whittier landscape under Dennis's tutelage, while enjoying a breakfast buffet of pastries, muffins, coffee, juice, and fruit at the Whittier Museum.  All materials are provided.  Cost is $60 per person for Museum members and $65 for non-members.  To purchase tickets, see the events section on our shop page.

Museum Ghost Tour

The Whittier Historical Society has partnered with Jacob Caputo, creator of the Haunted Whittier: Ghosts, Myths & Legends Tours, to create this one of a kind, immersive experience where guests explore the blackened halls of the Whittier Museum while recounting very real local stories of ghosts, hauntings and unexplained events.  The May 3rd ghost tour will pay tribute to legendary paranormal investigators Ed and Loraine Warren.  Three tour times available:  6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 pm.  See the Museum Ghost Tour event page for more information and tickets.  Get your tickets early - this event always sells out!

Founders Day

Founders Day is a celebration of the founding of Whittier in May 1887.  You will find non-profit booths, food, entertainment, old cars, activities for kids and lots of family fun.  Founders Day is free!
