Paul White of White-Emerson Mortuary will be giving a talk on the long history of his family business in Whittier (over 100 years), as well as discussing wills and pre-planning arrangements.   • Trick or Treat at the Whittier Museum

    Trick-or-Treat at the Whittier Museum has become a favorite of families in the Whittier area.  This year the event is on Sat. Oct. 25 from 2 to 4 pm. Kids and parents will walk through the Whittier Museum which will be decorated for our Halloween Haunted Maze and collect lots of candy along the way.  There will be NO scare actors present during trick or treating.  After trick or treating you can enjoy the Halloween marketplace and car show on the street outside the museum.  The trick-or-treat event, marketplace, and car show are all FREE!     Join us on Saturday, November 8th, for the final showing of the local favorite film, The Lost Era, produced by John MacLean. This film details the life of local artist Artist Pete Hampton (1940-2018).  Pete grew up in La Habra Heights in the early 1940s.   • Whittier Museum Ghost Tour

    The Whittier Historical Society has partnered with Jacob Caputo, creator of the Haunted Whittier: Ghosts, Myths & Legends Tours, to create this one of a kind, immersive experience where guests explore the blackened halls of the Whittier Museum while recounting very real local stories of ghosts, hauntings and unexplained events.  Three tour times available:  6:00, 7:30, and 9:00 pm.  See the Museum Ghost Tour event page for more information and tickets.  Get your tickets early - this event always sells out!

  • Painting Workshop

    The next painting workshop with Art Duran will be held on Friday, April 24 at 6:30 pm at the Whittier Museum.  All materials to paint your own masterpiece will be provided!  Light refreshments will be served.  No alcohol is served at this event - all ages welcome.     Founders Day is a Whittier tradition since the days of Jonathan Bailey!  Join us on Saturday May 9 from 10am until 2pm at Central Park (6532 Friends Ave.) in Uptown Whittier.  This is a great event for families as there will be something for everyone!  Food, entertainment, games, booths from Whittier non-profits and local businesses, and more!  Free to all.
